application question ign cover

so what was this bevel shaped ign cover used on?

Correct for all the DOHC bikes, I think they started with the round points cover with the “Made in Japan” lettering at the bottom and then moved to the beveled cover in later model years.

My 81 900f had the older style cover, my 82 900f had the beveled cover.

Some had 5mm fasteners, others 6mm.

Can be drilled out if necessary.

My 82 900 from the UK has an original round cover. My 83 RD (german market) has a gold bevel cover.
