The only thing F here is the 900 engine with a bit of frame.

Not my style either, I am a classic "F" type of guy.

It is very nice though.

Probably a 750 based bike, no oiler cooler, I don't know if the early European 900 frames were solid mount.

Un-rideable for any distance, much more extreme riding position than a GP bike, very very high rear sets and pretty low bars, not much leverage on the bars

Nice exhaust looks like akrapovic can, anybody recognize the header section?

Oil Cooler is mounted on the LH side of the bike.

It's fugly to my eyes - but to each their own.

I can tolerate the style... but how the F do you ride this eFFer? Between the distinct lack of padding, the totally flat seat, and the extreme looking rake it just seems like you'd be crushing the yabbos against the tank? I predict an extreme sense of 'falling forward' if you had the opportunity to mount this bike.
Looks good online though? Form should follow function.

Just because you "can", doesn't mean you "should"...

Not horrible......could be easily fixed to actually ride with a set of higher bars and a real seat

No brown seat, no brown grips, no wrapped pipes........

I also need a rear fender.......sucks walking around with a line of schmutz on the back of your jacket after riding over the water from a neighbors sprinkler in the road.......

Styling reminiscent of the new cb1000r “ neosport”, which has really grown on me...

Have you seen the 2021 updated model? It looks even better particularly in the all black version.

Yes, I like it as well, although They changed the headlight shape and I think I prefer the round one.

Nice bike though, particularly that new “ black “ model

But, I do like that exhaust..

Nice attention to detail but I'd bet his forks bottom out at a 1 G stop as well as the pipes.

I think its pretty neat and even though I like modded cb's it's not my style.

the thing that cracks me up is the dented rotor cover and cracked (or something) clutch cover. that much time and money into this bike and you can't find better ones or properly repair these?

980cc? I've never heard of that number before. "cb980r on the tail" ?

I wish I had some of those parts and all of the skills. pretty cool.

Well Steve since you said this bike is growing on you

Here’s what it looks like with the full Akrapovic exhaust, shedding 15 pounds and gaining almost 10 HP 😃, with even more gains in torque and midrange

It really rips now 😂

Looks great! Did you have the ecu retuned?

Does this bike limit power in the first three gears without reprogramming?

The pull to get one is real strong!

The OP bike is ugly. Not my cup of tea. But I can appreciate the skill it took to build it.

Ugliest 900F ever? Hardly. Frankly - as far as customs builds go (and certainly street fighters) this has to be right up there. F*%^ing phenomenal.

Steve I used what akrapovic recommends for their full exhaust which is dimsports rapid bike, which is like a power commander pre programmed for their full exhaust system, so it was plug and play

As far as I know most all current bikes stock ECUs limit power in the lower gears to protect us from ourselves

Stock modes you can change power engine braking and traction control

You can also turn the traction control completely off in the user mode, but of course to protect you from yourself, once you turn the key off it reverts to the lowest traction control setting, so if you want no traction control you have to remember to go into settings every time

Stock 2nd gear wheelies were better with no traction control as if it detects any slippage it cuts power

With the full exhaust and dimsport module it wheelies at ease even with traction control on 😃
I also couldn’t resist adding the quick shifter which works amazing up or down full throttle

I might bring it to the spring ride you’re welcome to try it out

All I can say is I’ve let 3 friends ride mine and they all ended up buying one 🤣
