I added a GPS speedo to the old girl. Speedo is from Amazon, waterproof one. $96.00 US

To reset the trip meter you can reach in where the old cable was and press the button underneath.
Plus i swapped out the tacho for the 900 one i had.

Link to the one you bought? This is exactly what I want to do on my 985. I have an FZR front end swapped on my mine and the speedo is completely off. |

Nice looking unit! Doesn't look as though you can re-set the ODO to your current mileage though. I'm running a 17" front wheel and have never really been happy with a speedo that doesn't read properly. Particularly with the Qld Police style speed enforcement! |

No unfortunately you cant set the current mileage.
Other than that its been working perfectly.
Very pleased with it for the money spent.
