what is everyones opinion on the airtech company? they seem to be the best bet as far as getting an 1100f headlight fairing in good condition for my bike (750f) at a reasonable price.

I wasn't aware they made these. Thanks for the heads up.

IMHO I would buy from them ONLY if there was no other option. You are better off reworking or repairing an OEM part.

Reason I say this as the PO of my 1100F installed their Chin Scoop and I liked the look of it, but I wanted it to blend with the original paint scheme better. After stripping it you could see a lot of pits and bubbles and it was very thin. We had to spend a ton of time sanding, filling and glassing in another layer of mat for strength. Then there were the several coats of high-built primer before the color coat.

So with both pieces (used OEM or Airtech) you will be doing a lot of repair work and paint. At least with the OEM part you'll have the mounting brackets already installed.

as far as mounting. being that I am doing the 1100f headlight/fairing swap onto my 750f, I almost thinking having to create my own mounting points might be better? but thanks for the insight into their quality.
