1980 Honda CB750F
I live in Toronto, Canada and took up riding again 3 years ago
after 15 year hiatus. Purchased this charmer from friend at work who had
stored it in a barn for 6 years. I've replaced sprockets, chain, tires, some
electric bits, steering head bearings. Over this past winter I finally had the
motor rebuilt and replaced the top end with 900F cylinders and head. Also
replaced standard handle bars with flat bars and added progressive springs in
front forks. The Koni shocks on rear are add on by previous owner and still
good. Suspension and steering upgrades, and flat bars greatly improved
handling .The brakes are stock but anticipate upgrade when budget allows.
Seat was replaced last year. I found a nearly new exhaust system on E Bay to
replace ratty old 4into1 loud pipe and now I am faced with cosmetics.
She runs nicely on highways (1/4 fairing is a big help) and is big fun in the
twisties....really wants to be let off the leash. I ride her to work daily in
the city and weekends roam the hills when time and weather permit. Break in
period will take a while but looking forward to feeling extra power. I plan on
keeping it as stock as possible in appearance but paint and decals will have
to wait for now. Riding season has just begun.
