I bought my CB1100F in the spring of 1999. In Autumn 2000 I crashed into a car.
The (female) driver didn't see me coming round the corner. The front fork
was bent, and the left side of the engine was cracked. The left side was
replaced. The front rim could be reshaped and some smaller parts I bought new.
This was just 2 weeks after taking the photo's above. From the insurance
money I received I bought myself a second CB1100 and started to fix the old one.
I've got one of the bikes ready (all original) and the other one....lets say
I've got some good ideas from some of the the
pictures one the site.
It's a perfect bike to ride. Great to drive at lower speed, but also lovely to
race. I've driven through all of Europe. Starting from the Netherlands I've been
to Monaco (south of France) and the following year to the most
northern part of Europe: Northkape (71 degrees North). This summer I plan
to take 4 weeks to repair the cb1100F. Good ideas are welcome!
