My name is Nathan Chandley and I live in
Connecticut. I purchased my '81 CB900F in June of 2002 with 9,000 miles on
it. It is all stock. The summer of 2002 was a great one for riding here in
the northeast. It rained very little and the temps were mostly perfect. This
enabled me to rack up 6000 miles on my newly acquired bike from the end of
June to the middle of October when it turned too cold to be fun anymore. What
a great machine this bike is. I love the old Hondas. Very simple, (chain
drive, air cooled, carbureted) but amazingly responsive and agile. The
seating position is just right for my 5'9" frame. Not too leaned over or too
reclined. I like all kinds of bikes but I have to say I'll take my 900F over
a Harley or Ninja or just about anything else. If I ever take it for a long
ride, I have a trunk, luggage rack and soft bags that go on in just a few
minutes and provide plenty of storage for a weekend's worth of stuff. I hope
everyone else on this site is getting as much pleasure out of riding theirs as
I am mine. It's a wonderful thing to have this site to share info and help
each other keep these old gems on the road. My thanks to the webmaster and
all the visitors.
